In recent years the Twins have thrived during inter-league play. In their first taste this season they were swept by the Arizona Diamondbacks.  On Sunday the Diamondbacks finished the sweep by beating the Twins 3-2.  Liriano allowed 2 runs over 6 innings with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts.  Reliever Alex Burnett received the loss by giving up the winning run on a sac fly in the bottom of the 7th.  One highlight in the close loss to the D-Backs was Delmon Young breaking his power slump by hitting his first HR of the season, a solo HR in the 7th inning.  Liriano had the Twins’ other RBI on a groundout in the 5th inning, he also had a single in the game.
