Alexi Casilla became the hero as he hit a single with 2 outs in the 9th inning scoring Luke Hughes and winning the game in walk-off fashion.

Nick Blackburn started the game for the Twins going 7 1/3 innings allowing 10 hits and 4 runs, 2 of them earned. He also had one walk with 6 Ks. The Rangers had two solo home runs in the game, one by Josh Hamilton and the other by Nelson Cruz. Adrian Beltre and Mitch Moreland had the other two RBI for Texas. The Twins also found some power as Delmon Young hit a solo home run in the second inning and Michael Cuddyer hit a clutch 3-run home run with two outs in the fifth inning. Blackburn allowed Cruz’s home run with one out in the 8th inning and the bullpen took it from there. Mijares, Burnett, James and Hoey combined for the final five outs allowing 2 hits and keeping the game tied and giving the Twins a chance to pull out a win in the 9th.
