The Rangers offense exploded on Brian Duensing in the second inning as they strung together 7 hits, scored 7 runs (3 earned) and the Twins defense committed two errors. Duensing finished off the second inning and Anthony Swarzak entered the game in the third. Swarzak pitched a solid six innings in relief allowing 6 hits and 2 runs with 2 Ks, Jim Hoey pitched a scoreless ninth inning. The Twins offense scrapped together 8 total hits and 3 runs highlighted by Drew Butera who went 3-4 with a run and RBI. Michael Cuddyer also had a great game going 2-2 with 2 walks and an RBI. Mauer Update: Joe Mauer caught in his third consecutive game today and also hit a 3-run home run for the Miracle. Sounds like he expects to return to the Twins on Tuesday, we’ll have to wait and see. To keep up to date with other injuries check out our recently updated injury report.
