Nishioka and Perkins have been on a rehab stint with Class AAA Rochester for a few days now and according to the Star Tribune are expected to be on the same flight back to Minneapolis on Wednesday to return to the Twins. Perkins will be coming off the 15-day DL and Nishioka the 60-day DL. Someone will have to come off the 40-man roster to make room for Nishioka and two players will be sent to AAA from the Twins active roster to make room for the players. The Twins could also decide to place Morneau on the 15-day DL to make room for Nishioka on the 40 and 25 man rosters.

Morneau had an MRI on his wrist that showed some fluid but no structural damage. He has been out of the line-up the past 4 games. He had a cortisone shot on Sunday and took swings on Tuesday but it didn’t go well. He hopes to avoid the DL but right now it looks like he might be put on it when Nishioka returns.
