The Twins have a monster first inning to get by Giants. They managed 8 straight hits and 8 total runs in the first inning. From there it was smooth sailing for Pavano as he went 8 innings allowing only 2 runs on 9 hits. It was a lot of firsts in a while for Minnesota as they had 8 straight hits, first time since 1990, and had their first 8 batters score for the first team since 2003. All the Twins regular hitters had a hit in this game besides Pavano. Pavano was one strikeout shy of the infamous golden sombrero but more than made up for it with his pitching. No real big hitters in this one as the RBIs were spread out among everyone. It is worth mentioning that Alexi Casilla had a home run in his second straight game for his second of the year. He also had an amazing play to end the 4th inning. Check it out here.  Also, get a full look at the Yahoo! box score here. The Twins will look to take the series tomorrow when Blackburn takes the mound versus Vogelsong.
