These days don’t come too often. We get to see our young Lockout grow before our very eyes. Its father and domestic partners Roger Goodell and DeMaurice Smith have had very different opinions on what it should do with it life as it got older and older. However, now it seems they are finally starting to see eye-to-eye and as the lockout nears the end of its life. We can’t help but shed a tear during its sad eulogy. We have had some good times. Like when Ray Lewis told us crime would become rampant the longer it lasted or when our very own Adrian Peterson told us the NFL is modern-day slavery. If only I could have someone pay me millions to work 18 weeks a year. So as the candles begin to dim we will celebrate with our very own Vikings free agent edition. Below are the list of all the Vikings’ free agents:

Sidney Rice: True number 1 receiver but his biggest problem seems to be staying healthy. Has had only 1 full season in his 4 years for the Vikings. He is open to returning but is adamant on testing the market. Represented by Drew Rosenhaus so I expect him to seek a big contract. Maybe one similar to Brandon Marshall.

Ray Edwards: When he is done boxing look for him to become a free agent. Vikings recently resigned Brian Robison to an extension but have expressed sadness in the thought of losing him. However, I foresee him being gone.

Ben Leber: He has been plenty productive over the years but doesn’t seem to be in the Vikings future.

Pat Williams: The run stuffing portion of the “Williams Wall.” Pat is up there in age and most likely wants to play for a contender. Recent talks with Leslie Frazier have softened him to the notion of returning. Seems to be 50/50 at this point.

Ryan Longwell: Longwell is extremely reliable. Minnesota may be at the point where they don’t want to devote much money to the kicker position considering other needs. Making a transition to a new kicker can be very easy or backfire in your face. Lets hope it isn’t the latter should we not resign him.

Tarvaris Jackson: Jackson never turned into what Childress pictured him as. This is probably the main reason Childress lost his job and the whole Favre situation started. With Christian Ponder in the fold he, Jackson will not be brought back.

Here is a list of the rest. They didn’t have a big impact last year and won’t be nearly as missed.

Greg Lewis, Hank Baskett, Nafahu Tahi, Ryan Cook, Fred Evans, Lito Sheppard, Frank Walker, and Eric Frampton
