The Minnesota Wild have selected defenseman Jonas Brodin with the 10th pick in the 2011 NHL Draft. Brodin is 17 years old  from Sweeden who played in the Swedish Elite League last season for Farjestad. He is 6-1 170 pounds who is known as a stay-at-home defenseman with good passing skills. He was ranked by NHL’s scouting service as the 3rd best European skater and second best defenseman in the draft.
