The Minnesota Wild have made a blockbuster trade at the NHL Draft. They acquired Devin Setoguchi, Charlie Coyle and the 28th pick from San Jose for Brent Burns and the Wild’s 2012 second round pick.

Setoguchi is a 24 year old right wing drafted 8th overall in the 2005 NHL draft by San Jose. He has played 3 and a half seasons for the sharks scoring 31, 20 and 22 goals in the last three seasons. Just yesterday Setoguchi signed a 3 year 9 million dollar contract with the Sharks that he now brings with him to the Wild.

Coyle was considered San Jose’s top prospect drafted in the first round last year. He is a 19 year old Center currently playing for the Boston University Terriers.

You can hear Setoguchi’s first reaction to the trade here.
