The Wild have added more depth and experience to their blue line by signing free agent defenseman Mike Lundin to a 1 year $1M contract. Lundin played high school hockey at Apple Valley and was a 2003 Mr. Hockey Minnesota finalist. He played 4 years at the Univ. of Maine before moving on to the NHL with the Tampa Bay Lightning. After 4 seasons with Tampa Bay and 224 NHL games he returns to Minnesota to play with the hometown team. After losing Burns and Barker from the roster, the Wild needed some experience on the blue line. They only have 3 defenseman with more than 65 games of NHL experience.
