Leslie Frazier made his first bold move as a head coach, cutting longtime starting LT Bryant McKinnie. This comes a day after he showed up to camp overweight and out of shape. According to Judd Zulgad of the Star Tribune, McKinnie came to camp weighing nearly 400 pounds. The Vikings will have to find a new LT to allow pass rushers to run by while chasing the quarterback. McKinnie was drafted with the 7th pick in the 2002 draft but never lived up to his enormous potential. Charles Johnson is the most likely candidate to replace him at this point.
