The Minnesota Vikings’ QB Rhett Bomar was arrested on charges of a DWI.

Bomar, presumably the 4th quarterback on the Vikings depth chart, was acquired by the Vikings off the New York Giants practice squad in December of last season when they had a slew of underperforming QBs get hurt (Tarvaris Jackson and Brett Favre).  Bomar was booked at 5:15 early Sunday morning.  Bomar who looked promising coming out of Sam Houston State, hasn’t lived up to that potential.  The Vikings seem to be in a place where they may not be keeping him anyway, but this surely doesn’t help his chances.
