The Vikings have added some more depth at the linebacker position on Sunday by claiming Xavier Adibi from the Houston Texans. The Vikings released Heath Farwell and David Herron yesterday and lost Jasper Brinkley for the season due to injury so they desperately needed some more depth at the linebacker position. The Vikings played against the Texans this year in the pre-season and Fred Pagac must have liked what he saw in Adibi. The Vikings assume the final year of Adibi’s rookie contract worth a base salary of $555,000 with a cap hit of a little higher than that. He will be added to the linebacker mix that already includes E.J. Henderson, Chad Greenway, Erin Henderson, Larry Dean, and Kenny Onatolu.
