The proposal for the Vikings new stadium in Arden Hills has taken a good turn–if you’re a Vikings fan.  The report of the site in Arden Hills shows that there could be problems, but Owner Zygi Wilf said that it’s nothing that will kill the plan all together.

The big news for supporters of the stadium is that the Charter Commission voted 10-6 to not allow the public to vote on the half percent sales tax increase for the new stadium.  A move which I’m sure will upset the residence of Ramsey county, but would have surely killed the bill if the public was given a chance.  It is still in the works to get a special session of congress called before Thanksgiving to vote on the new stadium’s bill.  Which means that the stadium could be done by as early as 2015, but don’t count on that.
