The Vikings announced Tuesday that Chris Cook has been suspended without pay. The team released a statement on Tuesday stating “he is suspended without pay from the team while we continue to gather information regarding the situation.” Tuesday the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office filed a felony domestic assault strangulation charge against Cook. Cook could face a maximum of 3 years in jail and/or up to a $5,000 fine. It is unlikely he will serve the maximum sentence if convicted. The NFL is also currently reviewing the situation but action is unlikely until more information surfaces. Stay tuned for future developments on this story.
