The Minnesota Twins and middle infielder Jamey Carroll agree to a two-year deal, with an option for another season.

Carroll played last year with the Dodgers at shortstop and 2nd base.  This is a much-needed move by the twins to shore up their struggling middle infield.  Japanese sensation Tsuyoshi Nishioka hasn’t quiet panned out for the Twins.  It’s never to early for the Twins to start making some moves after an ugly 2011 campaign.
