Adelman has been very non committed to this point on who is starting center will be come opening night, December 26th. He has declared the spot ‘wide open.’ However, in Mankato Rick divided the roster into two teams for scrimmage. According to Jerry Zgoda of the StarTribune the teams were as follows:

White team:  Ricky Rubio, J.J. Barea, Kevin Love, Michael Beasley, Anthony Randolph, Nikola Pekovic and Wayne Ellington.

Black team:  Derrick Williams, Wes Johnson, Darko Milicic, Luc Ridnour, Bonzi Wells, Anthony Tolliver and Malcolm Lee.

The key thing to note here is the presence of Pekovic on the White team with the presumed starters as opposed to Darko Milicic. This isn’t a for sure sign by any means and Adelman could still be tweaking the lineups but it is worth noticing. Another oddity is Wayne Ellington and not Wes Johnson gracing the white jersey. Until this point, Johnson was the presumed starter at shooting guard over Ellington. Watch the Wolves play the Bucks tonight on FSN at 7 to see how things will shake out and to see Rubio’s long-awaited premiere.
