In his seventh NHL season Mikko Koivu has finally been selected to his first All-Star Game. He leads the Wild with 33 points this season, 9 goals and 24 assists. Koivu has been said to be one of the most underrated players in the NHL and finally his skills, stats, and importance is being recognized. He is the only Wild player selected this season. All-Star weekend will take place in Ottawa Jan 28-29th. Like last year’s game teams will not be split between East and West, they will be selected to each team via a player led fantasy draft and divided into two teams comprised of 12 forwards, six defensemen and three goaltenders.
