It’s been a tough start for the Gophers entering conference play by going 0-4 in the Big Ten. The Gophers headed on the road to face #8 ranked Indiana on Thursday looking to get their first W in the win column and that’s exactly what they did. The Gophers started out strong and had a lead most the game until the final 2 minutes when Indiana fought back. The final two minutes were a nail-biter before the Gophers finally sealed the 77-74 victory. Austin Hollins led the Gophers with a career-high 18 pts and Joe Coleman sunk some clutch free throws down the stretch. The win over Indiana is the 6th win for the Gophers over a top 10 team in the Tubby Smith era. The win will also seal the lips of some of the critics that have been calling for the Tubby era to end.
