According to Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network, the Vikings are expected to offer the Defensive Coordinator position to Alan Williams who interviewed with the team yesterday. Williams has been the Colts defensive backs coach for the past 10 years under Tony Dungy and Jim Caldwell. He began his NFL coaching career in 2001 working in Tampa Bay under Dungy and with coaches Mike Tomlin and Monte Kiffin. He also worked with Leslie Frasier who helped the Colts with defensive backs in 2005 and 2006. He has strong roots in in the Tampa-2 scheme so the team will likely stick with the 4-3 Cover-2 scheme they have used in recent years.

It also appears Fred Pagac will return to his former role as linebackers coach and Mike Singletary will also help with linebackers. Singletary will also have his role as special assistant to coach Leslie Frasier increased.
