UPDATE: Nothing has been officially confirmed and now a tweet from Kevin Love has surfaced essentially denying that it is the truth. This has a Joe Paterno feel for it. Stay tuned for confirmation and details regarding anything with connection to Love’s contract.

According to Ray Richardson of the Pioneer Press via Mark Rosen, Kevin Love has agreed to a 4 year extension with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He is expected to sign the extension tomorrow while in Dallas.

The good news is that the Timberwolves have saved their designated player contract. This is good because they could use this on either Ricky Rubio or Derrick Williams should they become superstar caliber players when their rookie deals expire. Regardless, it is great news to know that Love will be in a Timberwolves uniform for at least another 4 years.
