With Kevin Love serving his 2 game suspension, Derrick Williams with make his first NBA start for the Minnesota Timberwolves according to Jerry Zgoda of the Startribune. Williams hasn’t been too coy with his desire to have more game time with series of tweets complaining about it. Now he will get his chance to show he deserves them. Williams has always be somewhat of a tweener between SF and PF but during training camp Rick Adelman had him focus solely on PF so he should have the most comfort at this position.

Tonight also marks the first for another Wolves rookie. Malcolm Lee should be getting his first playing time but instead of the NBA it will be in the Developmental league. Lee is doing his rehab stint for the Sioux Falls Skyforce in South Dakota which is the Timberwolves NBA D-League affiliate.
