According to Judd Zulgad of the Star Tribune via Twitter, Lester Bagley of the Vikings said the team will not apply with the NFL for relocation for the 2012 season. The deadline to apply for relocation is tomorrow, Feb. 15th. This is good news for Vikings fans because the team will be playing in this state for at least another year. Their stadium situation however is still very unclear. Their lease at the Metrodome is expired so they now need to decide if they will renew the Metrodome lease for at least one season or play at TCF Bank Stadium if a new stadium plan is reached. If a deal for a new stadium is not reached by this time next year the team will almost certainly explore the idea of relocating the team.
