The Minnesota Vikings appear to be just hours away from finalizing a bill for a new Stadium on the Metrodome’s current site according to Aj Mansour of KFAN. The new stadium wouldn’t be in the exact same spot and the current dome. Under the new deal the Vikes would play 3 years in the Dome while the stadium is being constructed in an area nearby the current Dome site. They would then play 1 season at TCF Bank stadium until the construction is fully finished. That would mean entering the new stadium for the 2016 season. Vikings officials have been working tirelessly with Minnesota legislatures to try to get a plan in place that works for the people of Minnesota and for the Vikings. We reported earlier that an announcement was forthcoming but that was roughly two weeks ago. At the time, the bill was described as still having a few “issues” and apparently those took longer to work out then expected. If all goes well tonight, expect a press conference in the morning tomorrow at the State Capitol building.
