Michael Beasley and Derrick Williams could do no wrong in the game as the Wolves start their 3 game back-to-back-to-back road trip with a 109-97 win over the Clippers. Blake Griffin started with a roar and put up 18 points in the first quarter alone but scored only 12 the rest of the way. To put that in perspective both Beasley and Williams scored 13 of their 27 in the 4th quarter alone. That isn’t combined, either, they both scored 13 each. Minnesota did what they have been doing all year, they stayed close for the first 3 quarters and then went off in the 4th. They outscored the Clippers 36-21 in the 4th and now have pushed their record to 18-17. The 18th win means they have more wins this lockout shortened year than they did all last year. If Adelman isn’t the front-runner for coach of the year than you have been living in a cave for the last month or two.

OTHER NOTES: Love injured his side (rib contusion) and went to the locker room and returned with a pad on it. He could have returned but once the game was out of reach he stayed on the bench. Rubio only played 28 minutes and very little in the 4th quarter. He didn’t have a great shooting night but wasn’t bad in other aspects. Adelman was so pleased with how the second team preformed that he kept Barea in the whole 4th. The Wolves wore their Muskie jerseys for the 3 time this season. If you haven’t seen them yet get a glimpse HERE.
