The Gophers have the 10th seed in the upcoming Big Ten tournament set to begin Thursday, March 8th. Minnesota starts by facing the Northwestern Wildcats, a team they went 1-1 against this season with a lopsided 23-point win followed by a lopsided 11-point loss. It is obvious that game could go either direction. If they win, they follow-up by playing a talented and ranked Michigan team. Minnesota faced Michigan just once this season and lost by 5 in Ann Arbor. It isn’t out of the question to think the Gophers could take these first two games but, with the way they played down the stretch, going any further than that may seem far-fetched. Don’t give up hope Gopher fans, stranger things have happened.
