The Minnesota Vikings have reached an agreement with former Seahawks TE John Carlson on a 5 year deal worth a reported $25 million with $11 million guaranteed. Carlson is a Minnesota native from St. Paul and attended high school at Litchfield High. He was drafted by Seattle in the second round, 38th overall in the 2008 NFL Draft. Carlson was injured and missed all of last year but appears to be in good health now. His career highs are 55 receptions for 647 yards his rookie year and 7 TDs in his 2nd. Carlson fills the role of a pass catching TE to pair with Kyle Rudolph for 2 TE sets that Bill Musgrave likes to run. He also fills the void left by the departing Visanthe Shiancoe.
