University of Minnesota-Duluth, the defending NCAA Division 1 champs, open tournament play as the 2 seed in the East bracket. Their first matchup comes against 3rd seeded University of Maine Black Bears at 7:30 PM ET on Saturday, March 24th. If they win, they will face the winner between (4) Air Force and (1) Boston College.

Meanwhile, the Golden Gophers also nabbed the 2nd seed, in the West bracket, and will face 3 seed Boston University. That game is scheduled for 4:00 PM ET on Saturday, March 24th. A victory would result in a matchup against (4) Western Michigan or the WCHA Final Five champs (1) North Dakota. The Gophers’ region takes place in St. Paul so they will have home ice advantage for the first two rounds. It is possible that UMD and Minnesota could meet in the semi-finals if both teams reach the Frozen Four. Check out the complete NCAA tournament bracket below. The Frozen Four will be held in Tampa, Florida this year on April 5th and 7th.
