Last July the Vikings signed Remi Ayodele to a 3 year $9M contract to be the nose tackle on the defensive line. He had big shoes to fill with the departure of veteran Pat Williams. Last season he had an ineffective season for the Vikings recording only 15 tackles and 1.5 sacks for the Vikings. On top of that, in recent weeks he has been connected to the “bounty-gate” scandal in New Orleans as he was on the Saints team when it took place during 2009. Today the Vikings have decided to turn the page on the Remi Ayodele era as they have terminated his contract. He will be replaced by newly re-signed Letroy Guion and Fred Evans at the nose tackle position.
