The last several seasons have been great for the Bulldogs as coach Scott Sandelin has created quite the hockey powerhouse which only started when they won the National Title last season.

The Bulldogs will continue to be good, but they have had an impressive amount of players go pro already this year.

Travis Oleksuk, signed an entry-level contract with the San Jose Sharks. Oleksuk saved had an amazing 2012 season as he established career highs in points (53 ), goals (21), assists (32), power play goals (9). The Thunder Bay, Ontario native finished with 45 goals and 70 assists for 115 points in 134 career games.

J.T. Brown is already back on the ice in a Tampa Bay Lightning uniform. Brown, a sophomore right-winger with the Bulldogs, has already made his Lightning debut on Saturday. He played just over 13 minutes.

Brady Lamb has signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Calgary Flames. Lamb closed out his Bulldog playing days which ended with a career-high points (9 goals and 22 assists). He was 10th among defensemen in points. Lamb was working on his 8 game scoring streak when UMD was blanked by the BC Eagles.

Losing these big name players sure will be a hit on the Bulldogs, but they will bounce back and continue to succeed under Sandelin.
