The Minnesota Vikings are still honing their draft strategy as April’s NFL Draft approaches. The pre-draft visits mark the natural progression in the steps leading up to the big event. It is a sizable list of names but don’t read too much into it. These are often littered with smoke screens and ploys against other teams. What I like to pay attention to is some of the unheralded players on the list. These are the guys the Vikings try to squeeze into the visit and take later in the draft. With that said here is the list of all the players so far:

WR Justin Blackmon (OK State), CB Ron Brooks (LSU), S D.J. Campbell (Cal), OT Tom Compton (South Dakota), CB Casey Hayward (Vandy), WR Alshon Jeffery (South Carolina), DB Trumaine Johnson (Montana), OT Matt Kalil (USC), CB Dre Kirkpatrick (Bama), OT Jonathan Martin (Stanford), OG Amini Silatolu (Midwestern State), CB Lionel Smith (TAMU), and K Greg Zuerlein (Mizzu).
