When the NHL Draft arrives on June 22-23 the Minnesota Wild will be picking 7th overall. They stayed in the same spot they had earned by having the 7th worst record in the NHL. Division rival, Edmonton, managed to get the 1st overall pick for the 3rd straight year. Fans recall that the Wild started the season screaming hot only to cool off like liquid nitrogen leading to them becoming sellers at the trade deadline. Still, the team has a lot of young prospects and will look to add another. Here is a quick look at the top 7 players available in the draft:

1. Nail Yakupov 5’11” 189 lbs Position:RW
2. Mikhail Grigorenko 6’3″ 200 lbs Position:C/RW
3. Alex Galchenyuk 6’2″ 185 lbs Position:C
4. Ryan Murray 6’1″ 200 lbs Position:D
5. Filip Forsberg 6’1″ 176 lbs Position:LW
6. Mathew Dumba 6’0″ 175 lbs Position:D
7. Morgan Rielly 6’0″ 190 lbs Position:D

Come June the Wild will likely have added one of these prospects to the team. Then, they will look to start the season hot again, only this time they will hope to maintain that momentum through the whole season.
