Jack Connolly can add another achievement to his list of accolades while playing for the University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs, Hobey Baker award winner. Connolly led the nation in points by racking up 20 goals and 40 assists in his 4th year as a Bulldog. Three of those four years he was elected as an All-American and last year helped guide the ‘Dogs to their first ever National Championship. The Duluth native, Connolly, marks the 32nd recipient beating out Maine forward Spencer Abbott and Colgate forward Austin Smith.

The win also marks UMD’s 5th award winner overall, more than any other collegiate team. The most recent winner was 2004 right-winger Junior Lessard. The Gophers are second with 4 proving Minnesota truly is the “State of Hockey.”
