The Twins pitching has struggled all season long, and now it’s going to take another shot (I’m not sure if it’s a positive or negative shot just yet).

Carl Pavano had an MRI a month ago and it was deemed he had a shoulder strain. Now he’s being placed on the DL with an anterior capsular strain. Pavano has struggled all season allowing 24 runs in 24 innings for that spectacular 6.00 ERA.

With the move, the Twins have also activated Nick Blackburn off of the DL to make the series finale start on Wednesday. Blackburn has been equally bad. Hopefully for the Twins sake, rest will help both Blackburn and Pavano who’ve been just as hard to watch this year as the Wolves of about 5 years ago.
